Special is a print I made from a recent painting. The work came to me during a visit to Philip Guston's exhibition at the Tate. It isn't exactly deriving from one of his works but just an image that flashed in my mind while I was there, probably collated by one of his Rome painting featuring the marble fragment of a foot in the Musei Capitolini, the expression "getting a foot in the door" as well as a viral video I saw on Instagram where at least ten people in the same tube carriage were wearing Adidas sneakers (confession, I have them too).
